Lottie presents a problem. Her birth date is given as 6 Jun 1890 in the 1901 census (Smiths Cove, Halifax County, Family #48). In the 1901 census Lottie is listed as a sister of the Head of Household Colin Moser; their widowed mother Sophia is also with the family. However, in the 1891 Census (Family #21) she does not appear; Frank (age 2) is the youngest child shown.
One might think that the 1901 census birth year is incorrect and that she was actually born in (say) 1891; that would explain her absence from the 1891 census. To compound the problem, however, the Horne Family Reunion notes of Dexter Sampson, citing Richard Walsh, includes a list of children of Jacob Moser in which Ephraim is shown with death date 18 Oct 1888.
No furtther trace of Lottie has been found following the 1901 census.
